Lab canine seizure

Описание: This video originally was made to show our vet the nature of our dog Bailey's seizures. I have left it up because it has helped other owners whose dogs have experienced similar seizures.

Our vet told us originally that dogs are not conscience when they are having seizures and we made this video to show her that Bailey is aware and conscience.

This is NOT the way we NORMALLY handle his seizures. Normally we turn off lights/shut blinds and keep things as quiet as possible. We also get down on the floor with him and hold him.

We are pretty convinced his seizures are driven by a wheat allergy. He eats gluten free food and we are very careful with what we or others feed him. Last year when he was having hip problems the vet tried a medicine that contained a trace amount of a wheat derivative. Within a week he was having seizures. When we stopped the medicine his seizures stopped.

Bailey has been taking phenobarbital for the last 6 years. Even with this if he is given food with wheat he will have a seizure.
