Today we’re making the sweetest little writing booklet for our Ringbound Journal Series — Part Nine!**
We’re building a miniature layered booklet that adds texture, movement, and plenty of writing space to your journal. This one uses antique scanned papers, gel-print offcuts, and a simple magnetic wraparound clasp — all explained step-by-step in a really gentle, beginner-friendly way.
🪶 What we make today:
• A mini A5-ish booklet (trimmed down to a cute layered size)
• An antique dictionary-style cover
• Fill booklet with hand-dyed + coffee/tea-dyed inner pages
• A gel-print outer cover (double-sided from Part 1!)
• A magnetic (or Velcro) wraparound closure- the "magnetic button clasps" I have used are just from Temu. If you search this term you should be able to find them💛
• A belly-band for tucking postcards or notes
• A delicate doily cover detail
• Eyelets + rings to sit neatly inside your journal
✨ The digital pack grows every week as we build this journal together! ✨
Inside Part 9, you’ll find scanned antique dictionary pages, the gel prints I used and the hand-dyed papers I used.

The video includes trimming A4 papers into a mini booklet size, layering gel prints and antique dictionary papers for the cover, sewing the spine, adding hand-dyed inner pages, attaching a magnetic wraparound strap, placing a doily detail on the front, and securing the finished booklet into a ring-bound journal with eyelets. Colours are soft neutrals with touches of olive green, lace textures, and vintage tones.
