Why is grout important? It's not just about aesthetics! Grout actually:

Holds your tiles together: It acts like glue, creating a sturdy and unified tile system.
Prevents water damage: It forms a barrier, protecting your walls and floors from moisture.
Boosts the look: It adds a finishing touch, highlighting or blending in with your tiles.

Choosing the right grout: There are 3 main types:

Cement-based: Classic, affordable, but can stain easily. (Old School)
Chemical-based: Stain-resistant, great for kitchens and bathrooms, but trickier to install.
High-performance: Strong, stain-resistant, and easier to install than chemical grouts, but pricier.

Installation time! Remember, always follow the manufacturer's instructions.
Here's a basic overview:

Clean the tiles and joints. Get rid of debris and adhesive residue.
Mix the grout. Follow the instructions carefully, getting the right consistency.
Apply the grout. Use a float to press it into the joints, filling them completely.
Clean up as you go. Remove excess grout from the tile surface before it dries.
