Описание: There are many ways to indicate barrels in on a lathe. I try to use the most precise tools I can to get the barrel concentric to the axis of the lathe spindle. Here I am showing a comparison of a Mitutoyo .0001 indicator against an Interrapid long reach indicator of testing runout on a precision ground gage pin inserted into a custom rile barrel. the Interapid indicator is a .0005 resolution indicator that comes from factory with 2.75 inch stem and is calibrated for direct reading with that stem length.
