From July 2024 to September 2025, Paraguay implemented a Joint Programme under the Global Accelerator, to strengthen employment and social protection policies for just transitions. Led by the ILO, UNICEF and UNDP, in close coordination with the Ministry of Labour, Employment and Social Security, the initiative supports the creation of decent and green jobs, advances labour formalization, reduces gender gaps, and expands access to social protection.
Supported by the Joint SDG Fund under the Global Accelerator on Jobs and Social Protection for Just Transitions, the programme fosters social dialogue, strengthens public-private cooperation, and builds institutional capacity—placing youth, vulnerable workers and inclusive growth at the centre of Paraguay’s development agenda.
