There's a great old tradition of singing a Te Deum (the Church's ancient hymn of praise, dating back to the 5th century) on the last day of the year, in thanksgiving to God for all of the favors of the past year. Then, on New Year's Day, the Veni Creator Spiritus is sung imploring divine assistance for the coming year. There's even a plenary indulgence available (see https://rorate-caeli.blogspot.com/…/p.... Of course, you can't earn the indulgence in my living room... so get to church!
