Naghmeh Ensemble
Naghmeh Ensemble is a trio dedicated to the rich tradition of Persian Classical Music, featuring voice, tar, and percussion. Rooted in centuries-old musical heritage, their performance showcases a selection of Persian traditional songs in solo, duet, and trio arrangements.
A defining feature of Persian Classical Music is the art of Saaz & Aavaaz—a profound dialogue between voice and instrument. In this technique, the singer performs in a free meter, while the tar follows with delicate imitation, creating an expressive and spontaneous musical conversation. The rhythmic foundation provided by percussion adds depth and dynamism, enriching the ensemble’s intricate interplay.
Through this performance, Naghmeh Ensemble invites the audience on a journey through the timeless melodies and poetic essence of Persian music, celebrating its emotional depth and improvisatory spirit.
