(Recorded August 2015) Last but not least (the last for Foxwoods related elevator uploads), I managed to get a hotel tower elevator video. The tower of choice here is the Grand Pequot tower (the one in the middle of the complex). Here we have a bank of 9 traction elevators in the Grand Pequot tower at Foxwoods (for the sake of time, I only took one round trip on two ). Three of the 9 elevators serve the top two floors, which are a restaurant and casino*.
They are very fast, and smooth. Additionally, the cabs are very nice (even if I didn't get the chance to show too much of them). The elevators themselves utilize OTIS Luxury lanterns/fixtures on the exterior, with Series 2 on the inside. Interestingly enough, take note of the indicators in the elevators themselves. Almost reminiscent of the Vacuum Tube indicators, notably from Westinghouse in the early 1980's.
Do take note of the floor assignments; the floor numbers are actually bumped ahead by six floors! This means even though I was on the 25th floor, I was actually only 19 stories up! I believe this is to accommodate for the room numbering in the original two hotel towers, the other one being Grand Cedar (attempted those, too busy). While GC's rooms are numbered 1-8, this tower's rooms are numbered 9-25. I believe this trick is done to keep easier track of the rooms. Although I thought I broke a record in terms of height, the Marriott Hartford still holds that title. However, "25" is the highest numbered floor I have been on so far. This is the third tallest building I have gone up and filmed (231.75ft).

LOCATION INFO:
The Grand Pequot tower was opened in 1997, as part of a series of expansions to the ever growing Foxwoods Resort and Casino in Mashantucket, CT (a reservation within Ledyard, CT). Since it was built, it has been the "flagship" tower for the casino, commonly appearing in advertising, etc. Foxwoods is the second largest casino in the United States. Originally opened in 1986 as a simple bingo hall, the complex has grown. First with the Grand Cedar portion (1992), then the Grand Pequot (1997), then Rainmaker (2004), The Fox Tower (opened as MGM Grand in 2008, renamed Fox Tower in 2013), and finally, the Tanger Outlets in 2015. There's quite a bit of elevators in this mighty complex, so I didn't get to them all in one visit. This may take multiple visits to do, every so often.

***DISCLAIMER: DO NOT try to gain unauthorized access to these elevators. Although these are hotel elevators, there are a couple of public levels that are accessible from these elevators, making these public elevators, which I then consider public elevators. Additionally, the "casino" area I walked out on is simply the elevator lobby adjacent to it, not the actual casino. Therefore, I believe I wasn't breaking any rules here. To stay on the safe side, I do recommend that you do go to the restaurant level below on 24. Additionally, in respect, I only limited myself to two round trips on these.
