The Uzbekistan cough syrup tragedy has created a massive row in India. The country's Government has alleged that children died after they were administered a cough syrup made by Marion Biotech, an Indian manufacturer. An inspection of the manufacturer's Noida facility was carried out by the UP drug control and samples of the cough syrup have been collected and sent to regional drug testing laboratory. Meanwhile, the Congress leaders decided to jump into the fray and tweet about the death of 18 children in Uzbekistan. This has become a new flashpoint between the BJP and Congress.
