Turlough O'Carolan's (1670-1738) tune, Si Bheag, Si Mhor, is a perennial Celtic classic! "Sí Bheag, Sí Mhór" translates from Irish Gaelic as "small fairy mound, big fairy mound." Local folklore speaks of two hills near Lough Scur in County Leitrim, Ireland, as the sites of fairy battles. This legend is believed to have inspired O'Carolan's composition. Here performed with embellishments typical of David's style - it's never exactly the same twice!
