Lifting Heavy Objects With an Old-fashioned Gin Pole

Описание: What do you do if you have a heavy object to lift but no tractor or heavy machinery to lift it with? Well, you can resort to an old-fashioned method...the gin pole—which is basically a primitive crane or derrick. Pa Mac shows how to build one with simple materials and tools around the farm. He's using this gin pole to lift long, heavy cedar poles up and into their postholes for building a large pole barn shed for his new sawmill.
