Presentation summary:
The SSVM pallet is an Ewasm virtual machine for substrate-based blockchains. It is compatible with both EVM and WebAssembly (Wasm) runtimes. Developers can compile and run Solidity and Fe smart contracts on SSVM just as they do on the EVM, but with much improved speed and language extensibility. More importantly, C/C++, Rust, and JavaScript developers could also write Ethereum compatible smart contracts, and run them on SSVM through the WebAssembly LLVM toolchain. The SSVM pallet is part of the open source ParaState suite of infrastructure software, which contains the SSVM Ewasm VM, the EVM, Web3 gateway, developer tools, and DeFi applications. It is Ethereum on Steroids on Substrate.
