New, never before seen video of my most HATED sculpture- Tony Tony Chopper. Let me explain… 5 years ago someone working for One Piece reached out to me asking to commission a sculpture of one their show’s characters, Tony Chopper. This was the only time I took on a commission of a character that wasn’t an original of mine. I’ve also never seen the show One Piece before so I had no idea what I was getting into. I changed look of the character to how I would naturally sculpt him and sent him off to Bandai’s One Piece art show in China and went onto my next project thinking I would never hear about him again. A week later the image of my sculpture started circling around forums and the true fans of the show were furious. They thought my sculpture was a leaked image of the new live action tv show for One Piece and that this is what Chopper was going to look like (the cartoon version is much more cute) So people were pissed, I thought it was hilarious, but I never posted the making of video. 5 years later the live action One Piece show finally made it to Netflix, but they are saving Chopper for season 2. Now this image has resurfaced as people still think the character will look like this! I had never posted this video but figured it was a good time so that I could set the record straight stating that this design was just a commission and the live action version will (probably) not look like this.
