What should have been a simple run from Zutphen to Deventer in the Netherlands quickly becomes more challenging as the River IJssel is in full flood. With strong currents pushing hard downstream and bridges offering only the smallest clearance, every section of the trip requires careful navigation.
To make things even more interesting, our arrival into Deventer brings up to 20 knots of beam wind combined with a powerful current, making docking a real test of boat handling.
