Bearings have many types such as ball bearing, roller bearing, spherical roller bearing, taper roller bearing and needle roller bearings. there are other types of the bearings as well like journal bearings. basically bearings are anti-frictional elements which are extensively used in machine design. basic purpose of the ball bearing is to remove the friction and support shaft. bearings are extensively used in gear boxes, engines and turbines. They support the shaft and remove misalignment as well.
