An Open Graded Friction Course (OGFC) pavement is an open-graded asphalt mixture with interconnecting voids that provide improved surface drainage during rainfall and reduce noise pollution. Notice how the pavement is not wet compared to the other driving lane. Just another benefit of asphalt!
