David Drury Improvisation, Notre Dame Recital, 2007

Описание: Improvisation by Sydney organist David Drury at Notre Dame in 2007. For this version I attempted a discrete wavelet transform (rather than Fourier transform) in order to get better low frequency resolution. Vertical axis is notes of the musical scale, beginning with A -27.5Hz (bottom key of the piano) and going up 100 notes, or just over 8 octaves. Horizontal scale is time, each division is about 1/50s. There's a few peculiarities to the plotting - some notes appear to really stand out, and a few constant notes wax in and out (even though the transform is phase independent). It may be that the tuning of this organ is a bit different to A440 equal temperament. Analysis is done in Mathematica 8.
