You can use countless skills, items, and combos to battle your way through huge hordes of enemies and gigantic bosses. The most important thing here is the combination of your weak and strong attacks, which you can perform on Y and X respectively.

Of course, you can fight your way through in the old button smashing style, but the real power can be unleashed with a powerful combo and special attacks. Each character has a completely individual moveset which also differs in the weapon used.

Most of the time it is a sequence of multiple presses of Y or X, but these can be further divided into Airborne Combat and additional moves that you can trigger with additional items.

In Hyrule Warriors - Age of Calamity, your heroes level up during battle and become stronger as a result. How does it all work? Very simple - fight your way through the monster hordes, complete missions, and enjoy yourself getting juicy experience points, or so.

A high level of your character helps you to defeat stronger enemies more easily. Your character will gain strength and hearts as you move up the ranks. There are a few good ways to do this. First - get a weapon with + EXP. In the weapon's properties, you can see the respective additions and with this small upgrade you can speed up the collection of experience points a little bit.

Additionally, it is recommended to complete the side missions. These will not only help you to collect additional materials, more about that later, but also to advance in the level. On the one hand this happens in the battle itself and on the other hand you get a lot of EXP points at the end of the mission.
