For the establishment of Bitterlich plots we need an angle gauge. A simple alternative to the Mirror Relascope is a Dendrometer or any other simple gauge that defines the fixed opening angles for different basal area factors. Here I test a self 3D printed Dendrometer. Works fine! At the end it is mainly about the border trees that need to be checked, for the many other trees that are clearly IN or OUT, very simple tools are enough.
