How I Got The Shot - Bike Builder Portrait

Описание: Since I was a kid, I've been a die-hard gearhead. Even though I still shoot automotive/motorsports for editorial and commercial use, I haven't done much on the people that build these mechanical creations. As part my latest showcase for the "Insight + Inspiration Guide", I decided to focus on a small portrait series on Bram - an incredible Canadian cafe racer (motorcycle) builder.⁠

For this #HowIGotTheShot video, I'm using various colour gels on strobes to create a dark and edgy mood. Like with most of my shoots, I used a @TetherTools tethered setup in order to build the shot correctly (with placing the subject and the strobes) all while having precise control of how the final shots will look. Utilizing the #BroncolorLitepipeP (a unique light modifier) allowed me to work in the tight shop space with its versatility. Regardless of what gear you own or rent, being able to achieve these looks is fairly simple - you just have to step outside the box and get creative!
