There are four Schmitt-trigger circuits in the CD4093B. With Schmitt-trigger action on both inputs, each circuit operates as a two-input NAND gate. For signals that are both positive and negative, the gate changes at various places. Hysteresis voltage (VH) is the term used to describe the difference between positive and negative voltages (VP and VN) (see Figure 2). The CD4093B is offered in 14-lead thin shrink small-outline packages (PWR suffixes) and 14-lead small-outline plastic packaging (M96).
