LLANGOLLEN CANAL BREACH! Works to Recover One of The Narrowboats Begins! HUGE UPDATE! - Day 9

Описание: Today is the 31st of December 2025. Let's get this breach-ridden year over with, shall we? I head back down to the Llangollen canal breach, here in Whitchurch again, on a very cold, crisp morning. When I got there, work were already underway. As predicted yesterday, Portadam had finished the new third cofferdam on the Whitchurch side, in a very weird way. Now that it's fully complete, its purpose is more obvious. This cofferdam is part of the recovery mission to save NB Pacemaker! It looks like they will remove the two cofferdams on either side of the lift bridge and then use Crouch recovery again to winch Pacemaker past the lift bridge, and then reinstall the cofferdams at the lift bridge, and then fill the area up between the cofferdams, and then Pacemaker will float again, being freed from the Whitchurch canal breach. It looks like the temporary pumps are now off, and the 6 main pumps are chugging away nicely. Also, did the 13 boats waiting to go through Grindley Brook locks make it through? Everything will be answered in today's video.
