How many indigenous languages were there in Australia before European colonisation? How many are still spoken today? What will the future be for these languages?
These questions and more are explored in this short video, made by a recent Wiltja year 12 student for his Research Project.
The Research Project is a compulsory part of the South Australian Certificate of Education (SACE), and encourages students to explore an area of personal interest to them and present their findings on it.
Wiltja actively values and encourages strong first-language literacy for our students, and this video powerfully demonstrates why this is such an important area.
