Deaf poet Richard Carter's signed poem (in British Sign Language) "Home" tells of a deaf poet's dream where he meets important deaf people in his life, including Dorothy Miles, his "grandmother of poetry". It is a poem with good examples of Deaf culture and deaf history. It was performed at the Graduate School of Education at the University of Bristol in 2010.
