Ishtar Gate – Game Environment Art
This project is a game environment inspired by the ancient Ishtar Gate of Babylon, Iraq. The scene was fully built from scratch in Unreal Engine, with a strong focus on modularity, reusability, and performance.
A heavy modular asset kit was created in 3ds Max, while the terrain was designed using World Creator. Additional props and selected modular elements were sculpted in ZBrush to enhance surface detail and authenticity.
For texturing, Substance Designer was used to create procedural and tilable materials, while Substance Painter was used for prop texturing. Custom decals were created in Photoshop to add variation, wear, and storytelling details across the environment.
Foliage assets were sourced from an external pack and were not created by me.
