Here it is, the video of my proposal to Kimmy Gatewood during the December 12, 2011 Apple Sisters show in Hollywood. The entire show will be available later at the Apple Sisters channel, and I want to thank them for letting me use the footage.
For a little context, check out http://www.theapplesisters.com (or go to http://earwolf.com and listen to their podcast!) To understand what's going on, in the December show, Santa Claus gives each of the sisters something they've asked for - in Cora's case (that's Kimmy) it's snow.
I'm supposed to come out wearing the big snowflake costume, which is why she's surprised when BJ Gallagher runs onstage dressed in it instead. That's when the script starts to change.
(Oh, and finally, Cora is obsessed with sailors - or, seamen - which explains my costume.)
Convoluted? Yes. Clearly you need more Apple Sisters in your life. Thanks to all the people who helped me pull this off, especially Rebekka Johnson, BJ Gallagher, Sarah Lowe, Matt Donnelly, Marty Casas, Kevin Chesley and Jerome Kurtenbach. And thanks to Connor Robinson who shot this footage!
