An adorable and very talented Father/Daughter Duo releases a music video to encourage all students to do their best work this upcoming school year.

Joel Carter and his daughter Dream Carter created an inspirational and very amazing remixed rendition to one of the hottest hip-hop songs of the summer, entitled, “Rake It Up.” The original song, which features Yo Gotti and Nicki Minaj, was actually created to be the “Strip Club Anthem.” Carter rewrote the song, with the help of his 8-year daughter Dream, and dubbed it the “Back to School Anthem”. Carter encouraged his daughter and all students to Rake It Up in terms of raking up good grades.

Dream, who is an excellent rapper and dancer, was headed to the 3rd grade at the time this video was filmed, and she is a straight “A” student. “I wanted to make a positive song with my dad and help kids be happy about going back to school,” said Dream.

Carter, who along with being a great father, is also a great teacher. “I used my verse not to just encourage the students, but also the teachers. It is not just up to the kids to do their best work, but it’s also up to the teachers to do their best work to help each kid reach his/her fullest potential.”

Joel and Dream are both members of the family’s entertainment business, called “The Carter Link.” They collectively create and produce positive videos and images that spread love, encourage, and inspire.
