4 must-do walks in Wellington 🙌🏼
1/4 — Eastern Walkway
Located only 20 minutes from Wellington city centre, the Eastern Walkway runs above the southern end of Miramar Peninsula.
The well-maintained easy 2.6km track will take you from Tarakena Bay uphill to the Ataturk Memorial. Take a moment to enjoy the incredible sweeping views before continuing along the walkway.
The walk continues in the open before heading into the bush and finally dropping down into the Pass of Branda.
You can walk the track in the opposite direction and you’ll want to allow an hour and a half to complete the journey.
Tip: Add on a trip (one extra hour) out to Point Dorset to see the World War 2 gun batteries and observation posts.
