In this video, I walk you through the full installation of the Smart Carb 3 on my Polini Thor 202 paramotor engine. The Thor 202 is an amazing engine, but like many Dell'Orto-style carburetors, the stock carb struggles with vibration-induced fuel foaming at cruise RPM (~5300 RPM). This can cause the engine to lean out unexpectedly — a serious concern for paramotor pilots.

The Smart Carb 3 solves this problem with its revolutionary metering rod technology, providing superior fuel atomization and automatic altitude compensation — no more rejetting required! Additionally, the SC3's choke and idle screw are conveniently located on the pilot side, making tuning adjustments easier than ever.

To further improve performance, I demonstrate how to build and install a simple yet effective anti-vibration system using a spring and cable setup to stabilize the airbox and reduce vibration effects.
