Engelberg area is easily accessible just 1h from Zürich and it has a wide variety of slopes, however most of these are targeted to more advanced skiers and some blue slopes are also quite narrow for people who are just getting used to skiing. For beginner's there is a dedicated area in "Gerschnialp".
For non-skiers Engelberg offers also sledging and winter hikes. On top of Titlis you can access beautiful panoramic views walking through the glacier cave or suspension bridge 3238 m (10,623 ft) above sea level.
Some hotels in the region offer affordable weekend package deals that include hotel room as well as 2 day ski pass, for example Hotel Terrace that is displayed in the beginning of the video.
