Lakeland took early control of the matchup controlling the time of possession throughout the first half. The Dreadnaughts struck first with a crucial touchdown from #2 Kelin Hendrix who connected with #17 Joseph Howard on a 28-yard TD pass.
Gaither refused to fold, responding with explosive plays of their own, capped off by a strong touchdown run from Josh Balloon to keep things tight.
But in the end, Lakeland slammed the door shut with #21 Ahnarri Cooper's 26-yard rushing touchdown.
