Описание: Gornergrat - a rocky ridge in the Pennine Alps, part of the Western Alps. It is located in Switzerland, in the canton of Valais, in the Mattertal valley, north of the main Monte Rosa massif. Under the peak, at an altitude of 3,089 m, there is a hotel and the highest, final station of the Gornergratbahn cog railway from Zermatt to Gornergrat. The peak lies between two glaciers: Gornergletscher and Findelgletscher. It is an excellent vantage point offering a panorama, the main attraction of which is over 20 four-thousanders, such as the peaks of Monte Rosa, Liskamm, Matterhorn, Dom, Weisshorn and Breithorn. At the top is the Gornergrat astronomical observatory.

Pod szczytem, na wysokości 3089 m znajduje się hotel oraz najwyższa, końcowa stacja kolejki zębatej Gornergratbahn z Zermatt na Gornergrat. Szczyt leży między dwoma lodowcami: Gornergletscher i Findelgletscher. Jest znakomitym punktem widokowym oferując panoramę, której główną atrakcją jest ponad 20 czterotysięczników, np. szczyty Monte Rosa, Liskamm, Matterhorn, Dom, Weisshorn i Breithorn. Na szczycie znajduje się obserwatorium astronomiczne Gornergrat.
