This clip shows the entirety of a BNSF unit boxcar train at Tunnel 2 in the Tehachapi Mountains. 9 locomotives (4x3x2) were used to lift this 12,000 train over the pass! This train originated in Modesto, CA and will terminate at the classification yard in Barstow, CA. This train is solely hauling food products produced in California's Central Valley and wine produced in Napa Valley. Upon arrival in Barstow, the train will get broken up and classified into other trains with the cars of food and wine being shipped all across the country (and Canada).
In addition, two BNSF intermodal trains at Tunnel 2 are also shown in this clip.
