Описание: Congress leader V. D. Satheesan was sworn in as Kerala’s 13th Chief Minister in a grand ceremony held in Thiruvananthapuram. Governor Rajendra Vishwanath Arlekar administered the oath of office and secrecy as the United Democratic Front (UDF) returned to power with a massive mandate of 102 seats in the 140-member Assembly, ending a decade-long CPI(M)-led Left rule. A 20-member Cabinet also took oath, with Congress securing 11 ministerial berths. Senior Congress leaders including Rahul Gandhi, Priyanka Gandhi Vadra and Mallikarjun Kharge attended the event along with several opposition Chief Ministers.
