Manos Unidas at Camp Nawakwa 2015

Описание: Once more, thanks to our partnership with the Lutheran Camping Corporation we were able to offer four weeks of summer programming for children who otherwise will not have any constructive participation in activities during the school summer break.

We thank our friends from Nawakwa for sharing a wonderful space where “God’s presence is felt” not only with the closeness to nature but with the loving attitudes of all people there. Thanks to Marianne Brooke for being a wonderful person whose love for everyone is contagious, to the great counselors whose energy maintained our group of children and adult volunteers engaged in all the activities promoting physical health, appreciation and respect for nature and love for each other.

During this summer camp we accomplished our seventh year of serving our community. A total of forty eight children enjoyed this opportunity thanks to the Robert Hoffman Endowment Funds, United Way of Adams County, St. Francis Xavier Church, individual donations and the contribution of working parents based in a sliding fee scale.

We are looking forward to continue this annual summer day camp at Nawakwa in service to our community, promotion of partnerships and develop of friendships that last forever. Con Amor.
