Biolite CampStove and Grill attachment - First use (First impressions in description)

Описание: I love gadgets and for an outdoor piece of kit, this is about as gadgety as it gets, so I had to check it out. Me and my friends BBQ a lot these days, mostly outdoors. I feel this will become a very good companion for our future outdoor adventures. It was surprisingly easy to get going and keep going, my hotdogs came out somewhat charred and smoky, but that's because I used a lot of damp wood. I don't think it is ideal in winter conditions because a lot of the wood will be damp, but it still worked and I don't mind the smoky flavor that campfire cooking often gives you. Overall, it worked really well and I didn't even need half of the sticks I gathered. So it is very efficient.

Yes, it does need to be fed with new sticks every 2-3 minutes, but that is not a problem.

I have not tested the USB-charing functionality yet, but I expect it to top up my phone and other things quite well. Thumbs up!

UPDATE: Tested the charging functionality. With my phone turned off, I got about 10% charge out of about 20-ish minutes of cooking. I basically just kept my phone plugged in while we cooked 6 large hotdogs on the grill attachment. The stove kept charging my phone until we had just a small pile of embers left at the bottom of the chamber. Very happy with the results!
