Yolo County company buys Old Sugar Mill, preserving local wineries

Описание: Small local wineries at the Old Sugar Mill in Clarksburg are celebrating a new beginning after the historic property faced foreclosure last summer. The uncertainty followed the sudden death of the former owner, leaving more than a dozen wineries unsure about their future at the site.
The wineries kept operating by forming a tenants’ group to cover expenses until a Yolo County company, Highland Pacific Capital LLC, purchased the property shortly after Christmas. The new owners say they plan to re-establish the Old Sugar Mill as a premier wine and event destination in the Sacramento region. Winery owners say the sale brings stability, renewed confidence, and hope for increased visitors and long-term growth.
