The invention offers the possibility whereby the consumer is able to measure by oneself whether and when to add sugar or soda in one's beverage can, even after the production line delivered the product to the retailer.
The same technology could be used for determining whether and when an amount of spices must be added or not into an already sealed food can.
The technology now makes it possible for a beer packaging plant to leave the choice to the consumer to decide whether to have a can of beer with or without alcohol.
It also offers the possibility to have a second round of drink after exhausting the first by simply adding mineral water into the empty can before exploding an extra embedded capsule into the liquid to stir a new drink for oneself.
