Battery life

One area these two drones are similar is battery life. The Fimi x8 does have a slight edge here, as it comes with a maximum battery life of 33minutes compared to the 30 of the Mavic Mini.

In real-life scenarios, I've noticed that the Mini can fly for about 25 to 27 minutes while the Fimi x8 1 or 2 minutes more.

Range

I have tested the Range for both of these and they are doing absolutely great. I tested both from high ground without the interference of the city and they behaved incredibly well.

Weight and size

The obvious difference between them is the weight and size of each. Don't get me wrong, the Xiaomi Fimi x8 is quite portable compared to most drones, thanks to its foldable design.
The Mavic Mini is in another league of its own though.
