Obeying the law/ Obeying Jesus. Old and New Testament.

If you think obeying them gets you into heaven, Scripture says:
You don’t get to break even one.

“Whoever keeps the whole law and yet stumbles at just one point is guilty of breaking all of it.” — James 2:10

So no, the law can’t save you.
But before anyone yells, “Cool, then I’ll just do whatever I want,” let’s stop right there.

Grace is not permission to be stupid.

Paul saw that argument coming a mile away:

“Shall we continue in sin so that grace may increase? By no means!” — Romans 6:1–2

Here’s the tension we hate but the Bible loves:

👉 The law doesn’t save you — but grace will absolutely change you.

If grace hasn’t changed what you desire…
If grace hasn’t changed how you treat people…
If grace hasn’t changed how you respond when no one is watching…

Then you don’t have a grace problem —
you have a surrender problem.

The law is like a mirror.
It shows you how dirty you are.
But no one washes their face with a mirror.

Jesus didn’t come to lower the standard —
He came to fulfill it.

So no, Christians aren’t called to be lawless.
We’re called to be led.

Led by the Spirit.
Led by love.
Led by a new heart that doesn’t ask,
“How far can I go?”
but instead asks,
“How close can I stay?”

You don’t obey to be saved.
You obey because you are saved.

That’s not religion.
That’s transformation.
