Belgium's parliament on Thursday (19/10) began a closed-door
session to decide whether to lift the immunity of former cabinet
minister Willy Claes, the Secretary General of NATO. Deputies
were to vote on a recommendation that Claes be stripped of his
immunity as a former government minister.
