Description - This plant is a native of tropical Afrika. It belongs to succulent family. This is a house plant or ornamental plant. You can keep this plant indoor or outdoor. It is a low mentanance plant, having different colour flowers.

Pot Selection - This plant requires large pot, so, you can use a 6 inch pot or larger one, the pot should have more than one drainage hole at its bottom.

Poting - For making drainage system well use stone cheaps and core sand 1 inch thick layer, then fill wtih soil mixture tightly. Then place the plant in soil gently.

Soil Preparation - Soil should be suitable for succulent, so, use minimum 40% sand add with this, any compost and garden soil in equal ratio and add bone dust, horn meal and neem cake or you can use only garden soil and sand 40% for soil preparation. Keep in mind this plant is very hardy and drought tolerant. It can survive for several months in dry soil but grow well in moisted soil.

Watering - This plant stores water and food in their leaves as Succulent. Water this plant two or three times per week in Summer for best result of growth, do not water this plant in rainy season and in Winter water this plant in each two or three days.

Sunlight - It likes direct sunlight, so, keep this plant in open place where it can enjoy full sunlight for minimum 6 to 8 hours. It can survive in semished place, the lower part of leaves of this plant turns brown under full sunlight, in indoor, leaves are bright green. Its flowering period is November to February, For best flowering it requires full sunlight for. 6 to 8 hours. You can get flower in Summer from a healthy plant, when the flowers gets dry, cut the stick out.

*Application of Fertiliser - It is very low maintainance plant, so, in Rainy season no fertiliser is required, in Summer apply organic fertilizer in each 15 to 20 days, from first week of October provide potassium based organic or chemical fertilizer atleast two time a months, this will encourage the plant to bloom.

Propagation - This plant propagates through root, leaves and stem. Take a cutting or leaf and put in wet soil, root will grow within 15 days, their babies comes from root naturally.
