First, understand who God is: He is the Creator of everything, including you. God is holy, loving, kind, gracious, and full of mercy. Next, understand who we are. We are all sinners who have broken God's laws and deserve eternal judgment. The Bible tells us that none of us are good enough to earn salvation (deliverance from the penalty of sin) on our own. Finally, understand that there is good news: Jesus Christ lived a perfect, sinless life. He died on the cross as a substitute for sinners, rose to life proving He is God, and ascended into Heaven.

How should you respond? Trust in the Lord Jesus Christ for complete forgiveness and turn from your sin (repent) and He promises eternal life with Him in Heaven.
