In this beautiful autumn morning, we explore Japan's most famous street food market.
For almost a century, Tsukiji was home to the world's largest fish auction market, which moved there from Nihombashi in the 1920s, and then in 2018 from Tsukiji's to Toyosu, in a reclaimed land island.
The "outer market" part of Tsukiji market remains very popular, among both locals and tourists looking to try some fresh, high quality Japanese street food, especially fish and seafood.
We start our walk near the "inner market", which now lies empty (the closed plot to our right). I wonder what will become of it in the future...
