Cetti's warbler (pronounced chetty) is a little, unassuming bird that is a skulker and can be difficult to spot.
It generally announces its approach with strong bursts of song, and the initial sighting will most likely be of a dark, stocky warbler with short wings and a full, rounded tail darting for shelter.
This Schedule 1 species is a relatively newcomer to the UK, having first bred in Kent in 1972.
