These are the two gigantic warehouses being built behind homes in Wigan that residents say is like having a 'cruise ship' in your back garden.
The enormous steel structures are being put up next to the Henford Estate - and two of the four will be a maximum of 60ft high.
Some say it’s a ‘total shock’ when they walk out the front door. Others fear the warehouse could make it harder for residents to sell their homes in the future.
Aidan Thatcher, director for place at Wigan Council, maintained that landscaping would help mitigate the visual impact. A spokesperson for developer PLP said they would not comment.
