This is the very first video in my new series Black Girl Psychology—a space I created from both my personal journey and professional background in Clinical Psychology. As a Black woman, I’ve realised how little representation and culturally relevant conversation there is around our mental health—our stories, our pain, our healing.

This series is my way of changing that.

Black Girl Psychology is a platform for vulnerability—something I’ve personally struggled with for years. Growing up, I always felt like I had to be the strong one, to hold it all together. But the truth is, strength doesn't mean silence. And I believe we deserve safe spaces to talk about what we’re really going through.

In today’s video, I’m opening up about something deeply personal: losing friends, feeling rejected, and how those experiences can shake your self-worth. I’m talking about what it feels like to have people you thought were forever suddenly leave, and how it makes you question if you're even worth being friends with. It’s real, it’s raw, and it’s something so many of us experience but rarely talk about.
