Bheem Pul is situated in Mana, which is known as "India's first village" near the Indo-Tibetan border, Bheem Pul is about 3-4 km from the Badrinath temple. The bridge spans the gushing Saraswati River, which flows fiercely through a narrow gorge beneath it.
Mythological Significance: According to Hindu mythology and the epic Mahabharata, the Pandava brothers and their wife Draupadi passed through this area on their final journey to heaven (Swargarohini). When Draupadi found it difficult to cross the powerful Saraswati River, the mighty Pandava brother Bheema lifted a colossal boulder and placed it across the gorge, creating the bridge that bears his name.
Natural Wonder: Although legend attributes its creation to Bheema's strength, it is a natural rock formation that has been in place for centuries, serving as a functional crossing point.
Nearby Attractions: Visitors can explore other nearby significant sites such as Vyas Gufa (cave of Ved Vyas), Ganesh Gufa (cave of Lord Ganesha), and the "Last Tea Shop of India" at Mana village.
Accessibility: The Bheem Pul is accessible via a short trek or walk from Mana village, which can be reached by road from Badrinath.
