In this video you will know how to make floating table, also known as tensegrity table using simple and available for everyone materials like jute rope and cardboard. And of course some DIY creativity and a lot's of fun.
Tensegrity, tensional integrity or floating tension is a structural method based on a system of isolated components under compression inside a sets of continuous tension and craft in such a way that the compressed parts (like cardboard base in this video) do not touch each other while the prestressed tensioned members (like jute rope) delineate the system spatially.
The terminology "tensional integrity" was introduced by Buckminster Fuller in the 1960s. The other way of tensegrity, floating compression, was used widely by the constructivist artist Kenneth Snelson.
