Painted the rear part of the undercarriage. Was a super messy job. Looks good. Also replaced the rear coil springs and shocks, with Motorcraft shocks. Along with that, I reinstalled the gas tank and filler neck. I did clean out the differential housing... that will be in the next video.
I got to pop out the front u-joint, as this car used two different ones. Along with that the rear joint is different from either of the two front possibilities.
Hope to get the axle and brakes finished up this weekend. I will start on the exhaust system maybe Monday. I need to get at least one universal hanger to cobble in, until I can find the correct hanger.... Someone cut the rubber on the right muffler hanger.
Then comes overhauling the Autolite 4V carburetor. I think after that, It might be time to start the engine, for the first time in 44 years.
